Fix Video Metadata

The file information related to the name, type, language, genre, date of release, and others is termed as media metadata. This information is useful for better management and organization of the files. UniConverter facilitates fixing this metadata information if they are incorrect, incomplete, or missing.

Step 1
Run UniConverter and choose to fix metadata

Open the UniConverter on your system and from the Toolbox section, select Fix Media Metadata tab.

Add media file

A new pop-up window will appear where click on the icon at Choose file: tab to browse and import local video for which metadata information needs to be fixed.

Fix and edit metadata information
  • After the file is added, UniConverter will detect it its type to be Movies, TV Shows, or Home Video. You can edit the Type if needed from the drop-down menu. If the option of a TV show is selected, enter the Season as well as the Episode.
  • You can click on the Search button and the software will look for the options and will display the results on the left-side of the interface.
  • Also select the Language, Genre, Content Rating, and the Definition from their respective drop-down options.
  • At the blank spaces provided at Episode Name, Actors, Directors, Screenwriters, Tagline, Description, and Comment, enter the relevant information. Also, enter the release date.
Step 4
Confirm and save media metadata

After all the entries are done, click on the Save button. A dialog window will open to ask you if you want to confirm the changes. Click on the Yes button to confirm.
